What is a Professional Organizer?
Professional organizers are trained and skilled individuals who coach their clients to develop new systems to improve various aspects of their lives. According to the National Organization of Professional Organizers (NAPO), www.NAPO.net the industry authority, “Professional Organizers help individuals and businesses take control of their surroundings, their time, their papers, and their systems for life.” Professional organizers teach clients “the skills they need to solve a lifetime of organizing problems by designing systems and processes using established organizing principles.”
My knowledge, and many years of experience working with adult learners culminates now in a business endeavor “Organize for Serenity”. As a Professional Organizer, I specialize in residential organizing, helping people overcome fairly common problems.
Do any of these feelings and scenarios sound familiar?
- I feel overwhelmed in my particular mess. I do not know where to begin.
- I dread starting, and living-through, a large remodel process.
- I agonize about downsizing. I just keep putting it off.
- I am very stressed because my sisters and I must clean out our family home, and
we are overwhelmed with where and how to start.
- I am hard-pressed and struggling because we need to merge two households.
Of course, there is a difference between cleaning up and getting organized, and it goes well beyond a defined “disaster” or near-term problem in need of a speedy solution. People hire Professional Organizers in order to learn and understand the strategies and methods that can change their lives, and free them from clutter and disorder. From busy professionals to overwhelmed moms, from downsizing seniors, to just-starting-out young couples, all stand to benefit from the peace, serenity and success that comes from making organization a priority!
I welcome the opportunity to assess your needs and work side-by-side with you, to teach you organizational solutions that make sense for the way you live. This process moves you from clutter to order so that you can move forward in life.
